Google Adwords is for sure gaining popularity as Google’s flagship advertising service provider. It gives marketers an opportunity, to advertise their products and services at a cheaper rate. The service operates on the principle of keywords. As people search for various products or services on the web, there are various keywords that they will type. Depending on how relevant your keywords are, then you will be able to get more people linking up with your website or in other words, increase the traffic to your website.
Article marketing on the other hand is a form of advertising, where articles are written on various topics related to certain business or what it’s offering. Article marketing, just like Adwords, is not costly, and in fact it is even cheaper than Adwords. This is because the articles written are given for publication by the authors or business organizations free of charge. The articles are published in print media or electronic media, actually, taking on the Internet. Sometimes the articles can be in the form of an advertorial, where a newspaper takes up a feature of an organization or company and presents it in a way that it will inform like any article and sell the company like an advertisement.
But, what edge does Adwords have on Article Marketing? First of all, you will be able to gain a huge number of subscribers, if you use Adwords. Adwords allows you to call your target customers and within no time, you can call as many as you can and tell them about your products and services. In fact, you don’t have to personally call, but Google Adwords will do so and pay for the calling charges. You are charged only when action has been taken by the customers. However, the quality of customers you will be able to attract in Adwords service is lower compared to Article marketing. This is because people who take time to read your articles are surely interested in the product, unlike in Adwords where most customers click your site ‘by accident.’
Adwords enables you to reach more subscribers quickly, due to the many links one can be exposed to, at a go. Here, one can visit as many pages as you can, host them by just a click. But, article marketing will need customers to search for your website after reading the articles or at least, there won’t be many links to deal with. But, Adwords will be effective, if you are interested in short term effect and not long term.
Article Marketing is a slow way to get your subscribers, since not many people are interested in reading the articles. Only a few people will read. Sometimes not all the articles get publishers. This adds to more limitations. With Google Adwords, you can easily test the success of your headlines, since you will know, how many people clicked on the links to your website.
