  Know Your Product  
 
There is a need for you to know every detail of your product because increasing your sales could depend on it. Especially when doing sales in a door to oor basis. Not being able to answer the queries of your customer could be result in decreased possibility of purchase. This would give them the impression that you are not there to provide service but rather to take advantage of them. That is why it is crucial to study first before doing anything else. This would make you knowledgeable about the product but also provide you with the confidence you need to face your clients.  

The most important thing to remember is the nature of your company. The history and what are they all about.  It may sound too burdensome and boring but customers do want to know these important information.  These kinds of information would differentiate you from a mere side walk vendor. You will give the impression that you are indeed a professional sales person.  Being able to be confident in providing the necessary details about your company would enable you to express its magnificence and its track record.  In this way the apprehensions of the customers would be lessened.  You can assure them that they are in good hands. The increasing demand for information by most clients requires you to learn all the things about your product because increasing sales depends on it.  

Providing them with the information such as its benefits makes them interested to listen to what you have to offer. This would give you the opportunity to explain in detail the ways and means in order to acquire the great service you are providing, increasing your chances to close the deal. The sales of your product does not only rely on good delivery but should also be based on actual facts. It is really difficult to make up excuses or stories to hide your own ignorance. The consumer could detect it from your hesitations and later on through their inquiries.  

Increasing the possibility of selling door to door through price is one way to attract your prospect. However, not being able to know things like consumer guarantees and what makes it different certainly gives a bad impression. Increasing your chances would sometimes rely on how well you know the product. There are times that you will not need to explain every detail but what if it does?  

There are no excuses acceptable for a door to door salesman when he could not even answer how the product works. He must know the best time to use it and what must be avoided if there are any. These simple facts are sometimes necessary. When you are in sales there is no room for weakness. One false move could mean a decrease in sales. Increasing your chances would rely on how you know the product. You must put into consideration that your product and services are not unique per se. You must be able to differentiate it from the rest in order to make it stand out. Even the minute detail about the product could sometimes make it unique from the rest.
