  Positive Attitude Positive Results  
 
Most of the time people tend to forget being positive.  They are so caught up in their work that they preclude themselves from thinking positive.  The level of stress that their body could bear is just too much to even think straight.  This is certainly true when you are a door to door salesman.  At first you would be excited when you try and sell your first product.  However, after several houses you find it difficult to maintain your level of enthusiasm.  This is true for most beginners who do not have the experience or skill to increase the sale of their product.  Being rejected after a door to door demo is really disheartening at times especially if you are trying to reach your quota for the day.  This could certainly have an impact on your ego.  A feeling of ineptness sets in.  

To avoid such a negative attitude one needs to be optimistic.  Always think that you have what it takes to increase your sales.  Remember to set high standards for yourself.  Being confident on the task at hand will certainly improve your chances when you are selling your product door to door.  Your confidence would not only help you to boost your enthusiasm but also would increase your chances to increase sale.  Why you may ask?  It is because your client could certainly feel that you have a high regard of the product you are selling.  This would give them a good impression of not only you but what you are selling.
 
A door to door salesman should also be approachable.  He should provide an atmosphere of openness that would enable clients to raise his or her concerns.  This would show that you are not only after their money.  That the product can really provide the best service and make their life easier.  This would lessen their doubts.  They would eventually give you a chance to explain in detail the service you are trying to provide.  In this way the communication process between the both of you will be smoother.  Because this time the client gives you the opportunity to present your product.  He does this because you gave him a reason to.  Because he could feel that you actually care about his needs. Because you are being GENUINE.

Always smile when you sell a product door to door.  You may not believe it but sometimes a simple smile is all it takes for you to get to the good side of your prospect.  Smiling is a gesture that says you appreciate the moment.  This is especially effective with older people.  They would gladly hear what you have to say because of your warm personality.  A good behavior is a great tool in order to increase your productivity.  The sale of your product would be easier if clients see you as being good natured and well mannered.  There are a lot of ways to increase your sales when doing door to door selling.  One of the best ways is a emit a positive attitude not only will this work but its also contagious!
